Pearl River School District

Pearl River School District's registration for 2026-27 Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) is now open.

• Children must be four (4) years old on or before December 1, 2026 to be eligible for admission to UPK in September 2026.
• Children must be residents of the Pearl River School District.

• Early childhood programs with qualified teachers at local preschools.
• Children enrolled in a half day program attend 2 ½ hours per day, daily, for the duration of the school year (180 days).
• Children enrolled in a full day program attend 5 hours per day, daily, for the duration of the school year (180 days).
• There is no cost to families.
• Transportation and food are the responsibility of the family.
  
  On Thursday, February 5^th, Rockland BOCES will be offering a virtual UPK Information Meeting for parents whose child(ren) will be starting UPK in September 2026.  We will post the Zoom link here when available.

STEP THREE (3): 
The District will review the documents and forms. If necessary, we will reach out to families for any missing or incomplete documents or forms. If all required documents and forms are reviewed and complete, families will receive notice for kindergarten screening.

STEP FOUR (4):
Families will be invited to a universal prekindergarten information session. 
 

STEP FIVE (5):

At the universal prekindergarten session, families will be required to provide an original copy of the verification of proof of birth, ie. raised seal birth certificate or passport.
