Dear Pearl River Community,

We are excited to announce the start dates and registration information for High School and Middle School Sports (7th and 8th Grade) for the Fall 2026 season.

Registration
All registration must be completed through our online platform, FamilyID. Late registrations will not be accepted.
High School Athletics Registration
Varsity and JV Football ONLY will start registration on Friday, July 17th.
All other Varsity and JV Sports will start registration on Friday, July 24th.
Middle School Athletics Registration
Modified Sports Registration will start registration on Monday, August 3rd.
 

Start Dates
Varsity and JV Football ONLY will start Monday, August 17th.

All other Varsity and JV Sports will start on Monday, August 24th.
Modified Sports (7th and 8th grade) will start on Wednesday, September 2nd. 

Physicals
Please note that NYSPHSAA now requires a physical exam dated within one calendar year of the sports start date.
A current physical for Varsity and JV fall sports must be dated on or after August 1st 2025.
A current physical for Modified fall sports must be dated on or after September 1st 2025. 
All new physicals should be completed on the new NYS School Health Examination Form.

School Physician Dates
Dr. Padre will be in on Monday, August 17th at 8:00 am, at the HS nurses office for those entering 8th-12th grade.
Dr. Padre will be in on, Thursday September 3rd at the MS nurses office, for those entering 7th-8th grade.

ONLY students playing fall sports who still need a physical can schedule a health exam with Dr. Padre on those dates.

Athletic Placement Process
Any 8th grader, who has been invited to tryout for a Varsity or JV team this Fall will need to get the Athletic Placement paperwork from the coach who is inviting them over the summer. On  Monday, August 17th at 8:00 am the athlete will need to see the school doctor to be cleared for the tryout. Once cleared by the doctor, the Athletic Trainer will conduct physical fitness testing Monday, August 17th at 9:30 am in order to try out starting on Monday, August 24th. Athletes should meet at the trainers office by the back gym of the high school.
